UMass Amherst Memorial

In celebration of The University’s 150th anniversary, and its inception as The Mass Agricultural College, 4 commemorative memorial markers were installed on campus.

The markers are constructed of glass and stainless steel and are internally illuminated.  On one side a life size photograph of a student from the university’s past confronts the viewer. The other side contains stories and images highlighting the early years at the College, including student life and agricultural innovations.
